Bigg Boss 16: DCW Chief asks the Union Minister to Remove the #MeToo Accused Sajid Khan from Bigg Boss 16

Bigg Boss 16: In a letter to Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur, the head of the Delhi Commission for Women, Swati Maliwal, demanded the removal of filmmaker Sajid Khan from the reality series Bigg Boss. Several women accused the director of inappropriate behaviour and sexual harassment during the 2018 #MeToo movement. After numerous women accused Sajid Khan of sexual harassment in 2018, the Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) put him on a one-year suspension.
“During the #MeToo movement, Sajid Khan was accused of sexual harassment by ten women. All of these grievances expose Sajid’s repulsive worldview. Now, this man has a spot on Bigg Boss, which is incorrect.

Maliwal wrote in a Hindi tweet on Monday, “I have written to @ianuragthakur to have Sajid Khan removed from this show. On October 1, the first episode of Bigg Boss’ 16th season aired.
Despite the outcry on social media, the topic was not discussed on the programme; instead, Sajid Khan cited his “arrogance” as the cause of his failure. Salman Khan, who hosts the programme, welcomed the director with open arms, disappointing viewers even more.
While many celebrities have kept silent on the matter, others, including Sona Mohapatra, have denounced his involvement and called out those who have, including Farhan Akhtar, remained silent.

The most recent critic of the show is actor Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who said to Aaj Tak, “It tears my heart to see him on national television, attempting to prove he is a hero. She said, “I feel horrible thinking about where our society is going.
However, it appears that certain performers, notably Shehnaaz Gill and Kashmera Shah, supported Sajid Khan as well. Sajid Khan even went so far as to claim that he was “the boss” of everyone in the most recent episode, “Yeh sab TV serials ke actors hai, tu samaj. Aur TV serials ke actors na, yeh log basically… inko lagta hai yeh humari duniya hai. Mai baap hu yeh sab cheez ka (All these are TV actors, do understand. These TV actors basically believe this is their world. But I am the boss of everything).”
