Awez Darbar had a shorter time in Bigg Boss 19 than expected, and it was shocking when his journey met a sudden end. The influencer was evicted from the Salman Khan-hosted reality show, and his exit has left fans debating whether it was fair. Soon after his elimination, rumours claimed Awez had taken a voluntary exit and paid around Rs 2 crore as a penalty.

The influencer quickly shut down these reports in an interview. Speaking to Hindustan Times, he said, “I want to make it absolutely clear: I never took a voluntary exit. I didn’t walk out, nor did I pay anything to Bigg Boss to leave the game. I don’t even know how these false stories started in the first place.”
He added, “Log bol rahe the maine 50 lakh diye, 2 crore diye aur voluntary exit liya – yeh sab bilkul galat hai. Maine kuch bhi nahi diya. Main khud shocked tha apne elimination pe. Agar main voluntarily nikalta toh main aur mera parivaar itna stunned kyun hote? Sab ro rahe the jab main ghar wapas aaya. Yeh sab afwaah hai.”
BIG Shocker After Gauahar Khan’s Entry
Awez said the timing of his eviction shocked him even more. Just days earlier, his sister-in-law and Bigg Boss 7 winner, Gauahar Khan, entered the house during Weekend Ka Vaar.
He said, “That was the biggest shocker for me. Gauahar, my bhabhi, came into the show, and the same week I am out. Why would you call her to the show when they were planning all this?”
He recalled feeling blank when his name was announced. “I wasn’t prepared for it at all. When I came out of the BB house, I was numb. I didn’t know how to react. And when I reached home, my mom was equally stunned. Nagma broke down, my mom was crying – they couldn’t believe I was eliminated so early.”

The influencer entered the house with his girlfriend Nagma Mirajkar, who was eliminated earlier. He now feels his own exit was not justified. He said, “I genuinely thought I had performed better than them. What is Neelam (Giri) even doing in the game?”
Many fans and celebrities also questioned the decision online. YouTuber Elvish Yadav called it “unfair” and said Awez should have been given more time to act on Gauahar’s advice before leaving.
Despite the controversy, Bigg Boss 19 continues to deliver drama and surprises. The reality show is streaming on JioCinema and airing on Colors TV.
