BLACKPINK’s Jennie gets emotional talking about her pet dog Kai, says ‘sent my first baby to heaven’

BLACKPINK’s Jennie has spoken for the first time about the passing of her dog Kai. With great grief, Jennie shared the sad news. While talking about her special relationship with Kai, Jennie also expressed concern for the health of her other dog. Along with this, she also shared with the people the deep impact Kai had on her life.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie appeared on Kang Hyung Wook’s dog guest show with her cute Pomeranian dog Kuma. Known for his skillful pet training techniques, Kang Hyung Woo is a well-known animal trainer and a TV personality. On his show, he interviews famous personalities and meets their adorable pets who accompany them. Many famous celebs have appeared on the show including Crush, Yuri from Girls’ Generation, Sohi from Wonder Girls, S.Coops from Seventeen and many more.

BLACKPINK star Jennie shares her personal grief

During the interview, Jennie shared a personal experience that she has never talked about before. She was worried for the health of her pet dog Kuma, who has gone into depression following the passing of another dog, Kai. On this, Kang Hyung Wook told her that younger dogs rely heavily on their older companions, just as a child relies on its mother. 

She said, “She reacted and said, “I recently sent my first baby to heaven, and my second baby, Kuma, seemed to be struggling. I was wondering whether there was anything I could do to comfort him. I’d never told anyone else about it before. I wanted to share it with you if I was going to do so.”

She revealed that she had stopped talking to her mother for a long time because whenever they talked, it used to get very emotional. “When we made eye contact we would just tear up, Kai was like a little brother to me, so it still.” she said with teary eyes. Comforting Jennie, Kang Hyung Wook Shared his own heartbreaking experience of losing his pet dog.
