BMC Bans Dhurandhar Director Aditya Dhar’s Production House For THIS Reason, Toxic Actor Yash UPSET With Makers Of Ranveer Singh Starrer

Dhurandhar 2 filmmaker faces BMC blacklist over safety violations, while Yash is upset over clash with his Toxic release. Read for full details!

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has permanently blacklisted Aditya Dhar’s production house, B62 Studios, after repeated safety and regulatory violations during the filming of Dhurandhar The Revenge (Dhurandhar 2) in South Mumbai.

The move has sparked conversations across the film industry about safety protocols, filming permissions, and professional conduct in Bollywood productions.

BMC Takes Strict Action Against B62 Studios

The BMC’s decision includes several penalties against the studio:

  • Permanent Blacklist: B62 Studios and individual applicants Komal Pokhriyal and Nasir Khan are barred from applying for filming permissions via the Maharashtra Film, Stage and Cultural Development Corporation portal.
  • Monetary Fines: A fine of Rs 1 lakh was imposed for unauthorised filming on a terrace and using generator vans without permission.
  • Security Deposit Forfeiture: The studio’s Rs 25,000 deposit has been seized.

The crackdown came after multiple violations in Mumbai’s heritage Fort area (A Ward). During a night shoot on February 14, the crew was caught using lit torches (mashals) even though they had promised to use VFX for fire effects. They also filmed on a terrace without approval and moved between locations irregularly.

This was not the first warning. Earlier incidents, including unauthorised drone usage on February 1, had already led to verbal and written notices and an FIR against the location manager.

While the blacklist is permanent, reports suggest a legal loophole may allow the production to continue if permissions are applied for through a different, non-blacklisted applicant.

Yash Also Upset Over Dhurandhar 2 Release

The ban comes amid a box-office clash. South superstar Yash is reportedly upset with Dhurandhar 2 makers for releasing their film on the same date as his Toxic, scheduled for March 19, 2026.

A source told Variety India, “Toxic was officially announced three years ago in December 2023. His fans have since been waiting to see him on screen. Yash doesn’t want to back off and disappoint his fans.”

Insiders added that Yash and his team were frustrated by the lack of communication. They believe a simple call could have avoided this clash. Despite the tension, Yash remains confident about Toxic and is firm on its release date.

While B62 Studios faces restrictions, the makers may still try alternative ways to continue filming. Meanwhile, the box-office face-off between Ranveer Singh‘s Dhurandhar 2 and Yash’s Toxic is already generating buzz. Everyone is eager to see how the films perform and whether the controversies affect their release.
