Bollywood star Raveena Tandon has showered praise on Dhurandhar, calling it a rare blockbuster that revived the magic of heroic cinema. Directed by Aditya Dhar and headlined by Ranveer Singh, the patriotic action-thriller has once again grabbed headlines — this time for Raveena’s candid “apology” to Yami Gautam.

Her admiration, expressed during a recent podcast chat, sparked buzz online — especially because the film was released months ago.

Why Raveena Tandon’s Reaction Came ‘Three Months Later’

Dhurandhar hit theatres on December 5, 2025, and premiered on Netflix on January 30, 2026. Raveena’s glowing review surfaced on February 15, 2026 — roughly two and a half months after its theatrical release and two weeks after its OTT debut.

The delayed appreciation led to “three months later” chatter on social media. However, industry insiders say the renewed buzz proves the film’s strong afterlife on streaming platforms. With its gripping narrative and patriotic undertones, the movie has clearly found a fresh wave of viewers online.

The ‘Sorry’ Call to Yami Gautam Explained

So why did Raveena say sorry?

After watching the film, she called Yami Gautam — who is married to director Aditya Dhar — and jokingly apologised for becoming his biggest fan. “I’ll have to share my attention with your husband,” she quipped, calling Dhar a “genius” and describing the film as beyond mind-blowing.

She also praised the ensemble cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Ali Khan, Rakesh Bedi and Gaurav Gera.

Inspired by real-life hero Major Mohit Sharma while featuring a fictionalised character played by Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar taps into audiences’ craving for larger-than-life nationalism — a space previously dominated by blockbusters like Pushpa and KGF.

Raveena Tandon enthusiastic endorsement has once again pushed Dhurandhar into the spotlight, proving that strong storytelling continues to resonate long after release.
