BTS Old Fan: On TikTok, a BTS’s 86-year-old fan is trending! At the end of 2022, Marilyn (@marilynbooth786 on TikTok) began posting on the platform, primarily BTS-related content. She mostly revealed snippets of her favorite BTS songs while praising the group’s members’ abilities.
She periodically posts videos of lovely New Zealand that have sounds added by BTS. Of course, she shares BTS memes like every ARMY. We’ve all been questioning where Jungkook has been lately.

She made a powerful statement: “Age does not dictate the music you enjoy.” Since Marilyn joined the ARMY four years ago, BTS has played a crucial role in her life.

“I’m introducing you to an 86-year-old BTS fan who still finds it amazing at this stage in my life I’m fangirling [over] a K-Pop band, but since discovering them four years ago, they have filled in a gap in my life. I’m on my own, I’m disabled, and I spend quite a bit of my time following them, watching the clips, watching the news, watching the articles about them,” Marilyn Stated
She made a moving remark: “Age does not dictate the music you enjoy.” When Marilyn joined the ARMY four years ago, BTS has played a major role in her life.
“Hope I’m still around in 2025 to see a comeback if there is one. Hope Jin’s okay, don’t know where Jungkook’s gone, but Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, and RM have all done amazing things since the break,” Marilyn Stated
At the time of writing, the video had 159.4K views and 42.7K likes.
All ages of ARMYs left comments on her post, relating to it in some manner, whether it was about missing Jin and Jungkook or other “dope elderly people,” as RM would say.

I can’t believe that anyone was interested to follow or like what I had to say yesterday, but I’m so happy about it, super, super excited… And the comments, I read every single one,” Marilyn Stated

She acknowledged that despite her claims to the contrary, she loves every single one of them equally. But from what she can see, she has a special fondness for V in particular. After working with Taeyang of BIGBANG on “VIBE,” Marilyn admitted that Jimin had turned into her bias destroyer.
“People keep asking me who my bias is… I really can’t separate them. They’re all so individually talented and unique, but I have a sneaky little thing for V’s visuals because he is so beautiful,” Marilyn Stated
Marilyn updated her profile once more. She still can’t believe how much love and encouragement she has had this week.
“I can’t say enough how exciting the last three or four days have been. Four days ago, I was so happy if I got one follower and four likes, but this is just so amazing to me. And so many super people, and it’s all because of BTS and ARMY,” Marilyn stated
Age is just a number, and, as Marilyn stated in her initial, extremely popular video clip, “it does not dictate the music you enjoy.”
