Cannes 2023: The 76th Cannes Film Festival is set to take place from today, May 16, and will go on till May 27. This year is special for India as many Indian actors are making their debut at the prestigious film festival in 2023. Among those who are set to grace the film festival for the first time, Sara Ali Khan and Manushi Chillar are also included. Bollywood beauties Anushka Sharma and Esha Gupta are also set to dazzle at the Cannes Red Carpet for the first time.
Sara Ali Khan
Sara Ali Khan will be seen making her debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival this year. The actor, who is currently awaiting the release of her film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, was spotted at the airport on Monday evening as she left for the Film Festival. She was spotted in a denim look paired with a leather jacket and blue tip toes.
Manushi Chillar
Manushi Chillar is also set to make her Cannes debut this year. The former Miss World also left for Cannes on Monday evening to attend the prestigious film festival this year. Manushi made her Bollywood debut with Prithviraj opposite Akshay Kumar.

Esha Gupta
Esha Gupta will also be walking the Red Carpet at Cannes 2023. The actor shared a video on her Instagram account in which she said, “I am delighted to be here at Cannes Film Festival 2023 as a part of Indian government delegation. I just want to take this moment to express my gratitude towards the Indian government and FICCI for providing me this opportunity on a global stage. India is now on a global stage in the world of cinema and it is an honour to be representing my country to showcase the world its unique voice and perspective in the world of cinema. Walking the red carpet at Cannes is nothing but a dream come true.”
Anushka Sharma
Anushka Sharma who is the brand ambassador of Lorea’l Paris in India will also be making her Cannes Film Festival debut this year. She will next be seen in Chakda Xpress.
Mrunal Thakur
Mrunal Thakur recently confirmed her Cannes Film Festival debu this year. She said, “I am thrilled to be attending the Cannes Film Festival for the first time. I am looking forward to interacting with global filmmakers, exploring new opportunities, and showcasing the talent that Indian cinema has to offer.”
India is going big at Cannes this year. Apart from many actors making their red carpet debut, three films will be screened this year at the prestigious film festival. Rahul Roy’s Agra, Anurag Kashyap’s Kennedy, and Aribam Syam Sharma’s award-winning film of 1990 Ishanou will be screened at the Cannes this year.
