Sonu Nigam: Chembur MLA’s Son of Prakash Phaterpekar, Swapnil Prakash Phaterpekar, is accused of abusing singer Sonu Nigama and his crew during a live performance in Mumbai. Prakash Phaterpekar responded to the incident by saying that while it was only a minor altercation, whatever transpired was wrong. “When you watch the video, you’ll realise that he didn’t attack them; it was an accident. He didn’t purposefully push them. He was attempting to take a selfie as he left the stage. What took place was incorrect… He is incredibly polite for a boy. I apologise and I’m sorry “said he.
Complaint led to the registration of a case
The singer claimed in his police statement that MLA Prakash Phatarpekar’s son Swapnil Prakash Phatarpekar injured his colleagues Hariprakash and Rabbani Khan by hitting them and pushing them off the stage. Sonu Nigam’s complaint led to the registration of a case under IPC sections 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing harm), 341 (wrongful restraint), and 337 (causing harm by act endangering life or personal safety of others), according to the police. Sonu Nigam was leaving the stage after a live performance when a man grabbed hold of him, according to DCP Hemrajsingh Rajput. He pushed Sonu Nigam and two other men off the steps after they objected, and one of those two men was hurt. Name of the accused is Swapnil Phaterpekar.

Bodyguard and team member were hurt
The bodyguard and team member of singer Sonu Nigam, Rabbani, were hurt during a fight when some men tried to take a selfie with him on stage. On Monday night in Chembur, Sonu went to a music festival when the incident happened. After Sonu Nigam’s performance, the son of a local MLA tried to approach him for a selfie, but Sonu Nigam’s bodyguard stopped him because he didn’t recognise him, according to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi.
Later, a minor altercation between a bodyguard and the MLA’s son caused one or two people to fall from the stage.
