Taapsee told HT, “This is a very special picture. It’s from when I was in the fourth standard. It was my first ever stage performance after I started learning Indian classical dance. This was a beautiful start to what lasted over eight years. I trained in classical dance for eight years before I started learning Western dance forms. So this is where the love for stage performances started.”

Apart from acting, Taapsee co-owns The Wedding Factory (an event management company) and the Pune 7 Aces badminton team, which plays in the Premier Badminton League. She is married to Danish badminton player Mathias Boe. Her memories of childhood performances show how discipline and creativity have shaped her journey.

Dia Mirza Rekhi also shared a personal memory. A photo from her early years, taken by her father Frank Handrich, brought back the innocence of her childhood.

She said, “The photo is taken by my father. These are the only precious physical memories I have with him. My early childhood was documented by him. His photos capture the wonder, the innocence and the simplicity of our times. The blanket shown in the image was hand-spray-painted by my father. Hand-stitched dresses and embroidery remind me of simpler and gentler times.”

Dia’s father was a German graphic and industrial designer, and her mother, Deepa, is Indian and works in interior and landscape design. Dia debuted in 2001 with Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein opposite R Madhavan. She later appeared in films like Dum, Deewaanapan, Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, Dus and Lage Raho Munna Bhai.

She said, “My mother, my maasi, my cousins and our family friends Sajida kaki, Chintu and Farah. They’d put jewellery on me, dab on a little makeup, and click endless photos. My mother still laughs about how I’d start posing the moment I saw a camera.”

Bhumi said one photo from Navratri is especially close to her heart. “Those early rituals of play and beauty planted something in me. At thirteen, I saved all my pocket money to buy my first set of makeup products and I haven’t stopped experimenting since. I was a performer then, I’m a performer now.”
