Marvel veteran Chris Hemsworth turned 39 today. In his many decade-long career, the actor has delivered his share of blockbusters.
Born in Melbourne, Australia, Hemsworth has amassed a huge fan base thanks to his portrayal of Thor in Marvel superhero movies. The Australian actor made his acting debut in the TV series Guinevere Jones in 2002.
Before his big break, the actor starred in multiple other shows and moves He made small appearances in films such as Star Trek and Cah, which helped him gain notoriety. However, it was his selection to play the God of Thunder in the 2011 film Thor that catapulted him to Hollywood fame.
1. Thor (Film Series)
The Thor movie franchise consists of four films so far: Thor, Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok, and the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder, all of which are set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Written by Joe Russo and directed by Sam Hargrave, Extraction is the story of a mercenary who must save a child who has been taken hostage by the adversaries of his father. Chris plays the tragically-troubled mercenary Tyler Rake perfectly in the movie.
5. Rush (2013)
This 2013 biographical sports drama tells the saga of the rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda, two Formula One drivers. Chris plays Formula One race car driver James Hunt. In addition, Daniel Bruhl played Niki in the movie. When Ron Howard’s film was released, it was met with positive reviews that praised the performances.
