Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who has been accused of Rs 217 crore from the wife of a former Fortis promoter, wished actor Jacqueline Fernandez Valentine’s Day while being escorted out of a National Investigation Agency courtroom amidst high security. Sukesh was produced before Additional Sessions Judge Shailender Malik. Sukesh’s custody may also be taken by the ED in a different case as the judge permitted the agency to work with him on their investigation. As Sukesh left the courtroom on Tuesday, he was asked about allegations levelled by actor Jacqueline Fernandez against him. He told reporters, “I don’t want to comment anything about her. She has her reasons to say. I don’t want to say anything.” When asked about his “relationship” with Fernandez, Sukesh said, “Wish her a happy Valentine’s day from my end.”

What Jacquline said

In the last court hearing, Jacqueline had said many things against Sukesh. “Sukesh Chandrasekhar played with my emotions, ruined my career and livelihood,” Jacqueline allegedly said in her testimony.

Sukesh had reportedly introduced himself as the owner of Sun TV and claimed (late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister) J Jayalalithaa was his aunt. “Chandrashekhar said he was a big fan, and said I should do films in south India too, and as the owner of Sun TV, they had many projects lined up. We should try to work together in south Indian movies,” she stated.

Jacqueline Fernandez had been accused of enjoying proceeds of crime from alleged conman Sukesh but has now turned witness in the case along with actor Nora Fatehi.

Earlier, Nora Fatehi had filed a defamation suit against actor Jacqueline Fernandez in Delhi court. Both Jacqueline and Nora were questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the money laundering case involving Sukesh Chandrasekhar.
