Dhanush And Mrunal Thakur Wedding Rumours: A viral video and image showing actors Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur dressed as a South Indian bride and groom have taken social media by storm. The clips suggest that the pair got married in a private ceremony in Chennai.

However, the video is fake. It was created using artificial intelligence (AI) and does not show any real event.

Dhanush And Mrunal Thakur Wedding Rumours: Fans Angry Watching Fake AI-Generated Viral Video

In the AI-generated footage, Mrunal wears a maroon kanjeevaram saree while Dhanush is dressed in traditional South Indian attire. The video also includes other actors like Trisha Krishnan, Shruti Haasan, Anirudh Ravichander, Thalapathy Vijay, Dulquer Salmaan and Ajith. While some found it entertaining, many criticised the creator for spreading false rumours.

Read some online user comments below:

“Nonsense! whoever created this, use your talent for better dude.”

“Does Dhanush and Mrunal know about this?”

“Editing to thik se kar lete kisi or ka face dikh raha.”

“Don’t fool people with your fake AI reels.”

“Case hojayega…band karo yeh sab karna.”

How The Wedding Rumours Started

Rumours about Dhanush and Mrunal began in August 2025 when they were spotted exchanging greetings at the premiere of her film Son of Sardaar 2. Their next public appearance together, at the wrap party for Dhanush’s Tere Ishk Mein, added fuel to the speculation.

Earlier this month, Mrunal addressed the rumours subtly on Instagram. She posted a video on a boat at sunset and wrote, “Grounded, glowing and unshaken.” Fans saw it as a quiet response, though it did not directly mention the wedding.

A source close to the actress confirmed, “There is no truth to the wedding claims. Mrunal is not getting married next month. This is a rumour that has caught wind for no reason.” Industry insiders also noted her busy schedule. A source said, “She has a release scheduled for February, and then another Telugu film coming out in March. It doesn’t make sense for her to plan a wedding right in the middle of that.”

This incident shows how AI is increasingly being used to create fake celebrity content. Similar cases have involved actors like Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda, with digitally altered images falsely showing them at weddings.

Fans are advised to be careful before believing such videos.
