Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge director Aditya Dhar recently shared a long social media post praising casting director Mukesh Chhabra. Dhar highlighted Chhabra’s key role in shaping Ranveer Singh starrer and making it feel real. The post quickly went viral, and Chhabra responded with his own heartfelt message.
Chhabra tweeted, “Reading this post, I’m feeling very emotional. I honestly don’t know what to say. Thank you so much…I love you. The love and respect you give to every HOD and every individual on set is something very rare something most people don’t give in Bollywood. I’m truly happy and very proud of you. Love you, brother.”

What Dhurandhar 2 Director Aditya Dhar Said
In his post, Dhar explained how Chhabra believed in the vision of Dhurandhar from the very start. He pushed the film further than Dhar himself had imagined. While Dhar admits he was cautious, Chhabra encouraged him to think bigger and pay attention to every detail.
Casting a large film like this was a huge challenge. Dhar said his brief to Chhabra was simple: find the best actors, whether new or experienced, big or small. Chhabra took the task seriously. He spent long hours breaking down each character, discussing choices and exploring options.
Aditya Dhar said Chhabra’s work went beyond simply filling roles. “Every actor, even in small parts, was chosen to feel authentic and true to the world of the film,” he wrote. Beyond his professional skill, Chhabra was a loyal friend who stood by the film even when doubts arose.
Casting Can Make Or Break A Film, Says Dhar
Dhar also highlighted the importance of casting in filmmaking. He said it can make or break a movie, yet casting directors rarely get the recognition they deserve. He added, “This film carries your choices in every single frame Mukesh! Endless gratitude, respect and love for you.”
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge continues performing strongly at the box office. On Day 20, the film collected Rs 10.10 crore in India, bringing its India net total to Rs 1033.37 crore. Its worldwide gross has reached Rs 1,641.21 crore so far, showing the film’s huge commercial success. Apart from Ranveer, the franchise stars Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhav, Rakesh Bedi and many others in important roles.
