Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has once again praised Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge and its director Aditya Dhar. The veteran director recently met Dhar and actor Yami Gautam and shared a picture with them on social media. RGV said Ranveer and Aditya are both real Hamzas, whoere one destroys enemies, and another one has finished all filmmakers. Read on to know more!

Ram Gopal Varma Compares Aditya Dhar And Hamza From Dhurandhar 2

Varma posted the photo on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday and praised the success of the Dhurandhar franchise. In his post, he compared Ranveer Singh’s character Hamza with Aditya Dhar. He suggested that Hamza (Ranveer) destroys enemies on screen, while Dhar is dominating the film industry with his filmmaking.

According to Varma, the impact of Dhurandhar 2 is very strong and the film is setting new standards in Indian cinema. His comment about “destroying the Indian film makers” was used as a metaphor. He meant that Dhar’s work is raising the bar so high that other filmmakers will find it difficult to compete.

In the Dhurandhar films, Ranveer Singh plays Hamza, a fearless spy who goes on dangerous missions against enemies of the country. Varma linked this character with Aditya Dhar’s real-life success and said the director is creating a similar impact in the film industry through his storytelling.

Varma has been praising the film since its release. He earlier called Dhurandhar 2 a game-changer and said the film would make many old-style action movies look outdated. According to him, the film shows a more realistic hero who can feel pain, bleed, and struggle, instead of the usual larger-than-life characters seen in commercial cinema.

RGV also said that this kind of realistic storytelling could make fake action scenes and gravity-defying fights look silly in the future. The filmmaker believes this change will push Indian cinema towards more believable stories and performances.

Social Media Reacts To RGV’s Latest Statement

Varma’s post quickly went viral and received mixed reactions on social media. Some users felt the comparison was too much. One user wrote, “Overhyping is easy, delivering real content is not.”

Another commented, “Yami, ye ramu se door rehna, aadmi thik nahi hai.”

A third user criticised the comparison and said, “This comparison of yours is fundamentally hollow, cheap, and born of an inferiority complex. To portray @RanveerOfficial as a slayer of terrorists and label @AdityaDharFilms a destroyer of filmmakers are both cheap, overdramatic lines not reality. Cinema is not a battlefield where a single individual can simply walk in and wipe out the entire industry.”

Another reaction read, “So now terrorists will be destroyed via films.”

One more user joked, “So much of Dalali! It seems this fellow wants some money from the couple.”

Despite the mixed reactions, Varma continues to support the film strongly and has called it one of the most important action films in recent times. Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2 is performing very well at the box office and is expected to cross the Rs 350 crore mark in its first weekend.
