Dhurandhar 2 Hidden Clue: ‘Aari Aari’ Song From Ranveer Singh Starrer Hints At 12-Year Spy Plan Linked To Uri Strike?

Dhurandhar 2 buzz grows as fans decode 'Aari Aari' song meaning. Viral claim hints at a bloody brutal climax in Ranveer Singh’s spy thriller. Know more!

The trailer of Ranveer Singh‘s Dhurandhar 2 has sparked massive discussion online, but one detail that caught everyone’s attention is the use of the Punjabi line “Bari barsi khatan gaya si, khat ke le aanda…”. The line is usually heard in fun and energetic songs played at weddings, so fans were surprised to hear it in the trailer of a serious and violent spy thriller. However, many viewers now believe that the song is not random and may actually reveal an important clue about the story.

Director Aditya Dhar is known for adding deep meaning to small details in his films. Because of that, fans think the song used in the trailer could hint at the bigger plot of Dhurandhar 2, which releases on March 19.

The film’s music composer Shashwat Sachdev has earlier used old songs in creative ways. In the first film, tracks like “Ramba Ho” and “Na To Kaarvaan Ki Talash Hai” were used to build the atmosphere. This time, many assumed the indie-pop track “Aari Aari” by Bombay Rockers was chosen only for style. But after listening carefully to the lyrics, viewers feel the song may actually explain the story.

Dhurandhar 2 song meaning hints at Hamza’s 12-year mission

The line “Bari barsi khatan gaya si, khat ke le aanda batasha” talks about a man who leaves home to earn a living and returns after many years of hard work. The word khatna means to earn through struggle and effort. The phrase is common in Punjabi and also used in parts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to describe daily wage labour.

In Punjabi folklore, this line is often linked to stories of separation and sacrifice. Some versions connect it to the love story of Heer and Ranjha, where Ranjha spent years away from home for love. Because of this, fans think the song may symbolise a soldier or spy who stays away from his country for years while working on a mission.

If this theory is true, the song could be directly connected to the story of Hamza Ali Mazari, also known as Jaskirat Singh Rangi. In the first film, the character entered Pakistan in 2004 for an undercover operation. If the song’s reference to 12 years is taken seriously, the timeline points to 2016 – the same year as the Uri attack, which Aditya Dhar had earlier explored in Uri: The Surgical Strike.

Because of this connection, fans believe Dhurandhar 2 may show how Hamza built a network of Indian assets inside Pakistan over the years. Some viewers have also noticed that Yami Gautam’s cameo could link the story to earlier missions shown in Dhar’s films. This has led to the theory that the song in the trailer is actually the blueprint of the entire story.

Climax Buzz Goes Viral Before Release

Apart from the song theory, another viral claim has increased excitement for the film. A tweet by KBP Reviews has been widely shared on social media, saying the final part of the film will be unforgettable. The post read, “If the Inside reports are TRUE, then Kudos to Aditya Dhar, Unreal Meltdown is scheduled in 1st Half and an Unexpected Bloody Brutal Climax is on your way.”

The tweet also added, “I’m saying this again, Meltdown of some special breed of people is going to be Unreal compare to Dhurandhar Part 1.”

These claims have made fans curious about the last 40 minutes of the film, which are being described as intense and violent. However, the truth about the climax will only be known after the film releases in theatres.

Meanwhile, advance booking numbers show strong interest from the audience. Reports say the film has already sold around 2.81 lakh tickets for the first day, earning over Rs 10.76 crore from advance sales. Including pre-release premiere shows, the total has crossed Rs 24 crore, making it one of the biggest openings for a spy thriller.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge follows Indian intelligence agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, played by Ranveer Singh, who continues his undercover mission in Karachi as Hamza Ali Mazari. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Akshaye Khanna, and promises a high-stakes story filled with action, revenge, and hidden secrets.
