Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga has sparked a fresh debate online after praising Dhurandhar: The Revenge. His strong comments defending the film have divided social media, with several users criticising his views.
Vanga recently watched the film along with Prabhas at a theatre in Hyderabad. Soon after, he took to social media to share his opinion. While he called the film “outstanding”, his remarks on critics and propaganda triggered backlash.

In his post, Vanga strongly defended the film against claims that it promotes propaganda. He also criticised those in the industry who mocked it.
He criticised writers and actors for building their careers on propaganda while the industry stayed silent, and said it was unfair that the same people are now mocking Dhurandhar. Vanga also questioned why “truth” is being labelled as propaganda today.
He further cautioned Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh about negative attention around the film, suggesting that dealing with it would not be easy. Vanga ended by calling Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge an outstanding film.
However, his post did not go down well with everyone. Many users criticised Sandeep Reddy Vanga and questioned his statement.

Dhurandhar 2 Success And Vanga’s Upcoming Film Spirit
Despite the online debate, Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge continues to perform strongly at the box office. The film, directed by Aditya Dhar, has crossed Rs 1600 crore worldwide. The first part had already earned over Rs 1300 crore, making the franchise one of the biggest commercial successes in recent times.
The film features a strong cast including Sara Arjun, R Madhavan and Akshaye Khanna, along with Ranveer Singh in the lead.
Meanwhile, Vanga is busy with his next film Spirit, starring Prabhas and Triptii Dimri. The film is currently in production and is expected to be released on March 5, 2027.
The project also made headlines earlier when Deepika Padukone, who was initially part of the film, stepped away due to scheduling issues. Reacting to the situation, Vanga said that he fully trusts an actor when he narrates a story and expects that trust to remain unspoken, like an informal NDA. He added that the incident revealed the kind of person Deepika is and also criticised what he described as unfair PR tactics.
