Worldwide Performance Of Ranveer Singh Starrer
Globally, the spy thriller has raked in Rs 710.5 crore so far. and emerged as the highest-grossing film of Ranveer Singh’s career. After a string of modest hits, this spy thriller has provided a major commercial boost. Currently, it is the second highest-grossing Hindi film of the year, just behind Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava. However, its sustained performance (especially overseas) could see it surpass Chhaava’s lifetime worldwide total of Rs 807.91 crore.
The film has already broken global records by surpassing Rajinikanth’s 2.0 (Rs 691 crore) and Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 (Rs 686 crore).
While Dhurandhar still trails behind Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal (Rs 553.87 crore domestically) and last year’s highest-grossing Hindi film Stree 2 (Rs 597.99 crore in India), the gap is likely to narrow. The film enjoys a relatively solo run with no major Hindi releases until Kartik Aaryan’s Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, scheduled for Christmas.
Interestingly, Dhurandhar has even outperformed James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash at the Indian box office. Released widely across India in formats like IMAX 3D, 4DX, and multiple languages, Avatar 3 earned Rs 20 crore on its first day, showing how strong Ranveer Singh’s thriller has been.
