However, the arrival of the latest big release, The Raja Saab, has shifted audience attention, leaving Dhurandhar fighting to maintain its footing.

About The Film

Dhurandhar features a star-studded ensemble, including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and R Madhavan. The high-octane thriller is set against real-life events such as the Kandahar plane hijack, the 2001 Parliament attack, and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Much of the action unfolds in Lyari, Karachi, an area notorious for gang wars and violent turf battles, providing a gripping and emotive backdrop.

Produced by Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar under B62 Studios in association with Jyoti Deshpande’s Jio Studios, the film released on December 5, 2025. Its strong performances, tense sequences, and patriotic themes resonated with audiences, ensuring a steady run despite the competition from new releases.

Looking ahead, fans have much to anticipate with Dhurandhar 2, which is slated for release on March 19, 2026. The sequel promises a pan-India rollout in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, coinciding with Eid, Gudi Padwa and Ugadi celebrations.
