The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 3: Prabhas latest outing in the Pan-India space, “The Raja Saab“, had an incredible opening weekend but could not maintain that speed even in its first weekend. In the third-day performance of horror-comedy as it contested for its space in audience attention, the outcome did not fulfil the expectation as the “Dhurandhar” series topped.

Starting with Big Hits Builds Big Expectations

The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 3: The Raja Saab had a Pan-India opening in Indian cinemas on January 9, 2026, and the advance booking and first-day box office collection of the film are decent. The director of the film, Maruthi, included stars like Prabhas, Sanjay Dutt, and others in the film, and it earned a decent collection of ₹53.75 crores on the first day.

“Day 2 & Day 3 Collection Trend” is a feature

Though there was an onset, the amount of collection decreased considerably. On Day 2, it collected approximately ₹26 crores. There is a clear reduction in the amount of collection compared to the earlier day. This reduction tendency continued on Day 3, which is Sunday, and it collected ₹20.12 crores. This further decreased the overall collection in three days to ₹109 crores in India and ₹158.75 crores worldwide.

On the other side, another competing movie that has emerged is “Dhurandhar” starring Ranveer Singh – an action-spy thriller – which was recently released in early December 2025 and has reached its 38th day; with the movie alone collecting more than ₹1250 crores in the global market and still generating steady box office collections in the country.

Analysis: Word of Mouth and Expectations

Industry trackers feel that The Raja Saab is facing challenges in the Hindi-speaking market in terms of mixed word of mouth and audience response. Even as Prabhas’ stardom ensured an encouraging opening, word of mouth suggests it is a film that perhaps failed to reach the common man.

Since “Dhurandhar” is still performing well, and there seems to be a trend that indicates a fall in weekend numbers for “The Raja Saab,” it would be interesting to observe what happens in the coming weeks in terms of box office numbers for the horror comedy.
