Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 49: Aditya Dhar’s espionage thriller Dhurandhar continues to hold strong at the box office even in its seventh week. Led by Ranveer Singh, the film completed 49 days in theatres on Thursday, January 22. While daily collections have slowed, the overall performance remains impressive.
Looking at the bigger picture, the box office collection clearly shows its long-term dominance. The film is still outperforming new Bollywood releases and setting new benchmarks for Hindi cinema. Before leaving theatres, it will compete against Sunny Deol’s Border 2, which has released in theatres today.
On Day 49, Dhurandhar closed its seventh week with a collection of Rs 13.9 crore. The film has become the highest-grossing Hindi film in its 7th week, overtaking Shraddha Kapoor‘s Stree 2, which earlier held the record. It has also performed better than Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 during the same phase, earning more than double of what the pan-India hit managed in its seventh week across all languages.
Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 49
The film opened on a powerful note. In its first week, Dhurandhar collected Rs 207.25 crore. Strong weekend footfalls and steady weekday numbers helped build a solid base early on. Week 2 saw even better momentum. The film earned Rs 253.25 crore, showing a healthy growth of over 22 per cent. Strong word of mouth and repeat audiences played a major role.
A natural slowdown began in Week 3, with collections of Rs 172 crore, a drop of over 30 per cent. Even so, weekend business stayed stable, keeping overall numbers strong. In Week 4, collections dipped further to Rs 106.5 crore as new releases entered theatres. The decline continued in Week 5 with Rs 51.25 crore, followed by Week 6 at Rs 26.35 crore.
During its seventh week, Dhurandhar earned around Rs 13.9 crore (early estimates included). While modest, the figure was enough to keep the film ahead of competitors.
Despite multiple new releases, Dhurandhar has remained unchallenged. New releases like Ikkis, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, The Raja Saab, Happy Patel and Rahu Ketu failed to impact its box office run.
In a direct comparison, Dhurandhar earned 114% more than Pushpa 2 in the seventh week. Ranveer Singh starrer is now struggling to hold and earning under Rs 2 cr each day. Therefore, it is unlikely to cross Rs 850 cr mark before leaving theatres.
