The film opened strongly on Day 1, collecting Rs 28 crore. Day 2 saw a 14.29% increase, taking the total to Rs 32 crore. The upward momentum continued on Sunday, with Day 3 raking in Rs 43 crore. Despite the typical Monday drop to Rs 23.25 crore, the film recovered on Day 5 with Rs 27 crore and maintained similar collections through the midweek. By the end of its first week, Dhurandhar had already amassed Rs 207.25 crore net in India.
The second week began positively, with Day 8 collecting Rs 32.5 crore. Day 9 marked a turning point, with a massive Rs 53 crore net collection on the second Saturday. The surge puts the film on track to surpass Rs 300 crore in India on Sunday, overtaking Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which earned Rs 260.11 crore net in its entire run. About the Film
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is an espionage thriller inspired by real-life events, including the 1999 IC-814 hijacking and the 2001 Parliament attack. The film follows “Operation Dhurandhar,” a covert mission led by Intelligence Bureau chief Ajay Sanyal to infiltrate Karachi’s underworld.
Ranveer Singh stars as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, a young man from Punjab who goes undercover as Hamza Ali Mazar to dismantle a powerful crime syndicate. R.
