Director Aditya Dhar has won praise online for his humble response to Hrithik Roshan’s second review of Dhurandhar. Hrithik’s follow-up post came just hours after his first, where he praised the film’s storytelling but admitted he disagreed with its political undertones. Despite the mixed reactions, Aditya expressed gratitude for Hrithik’s encouragement and said the team would strive to meet expectations in Dhurandhar Part 2.
In his second review, Hrithik praised the film and the team. He said he still could not get Dhurandhar out of his mind. He applauded Aditya Dhar’s filmmaking and called him an incredible creator. Hrithik also praised Ranveer Singh’s performance, highlighting his journey from silent moments to fierce scenes and calling it consistent throughout.
Hrithik went on to say that Akshaye Khanna has always been his favourite and that the film proves why. He also praised R Madhavan for his grace, strength and dignity. He gave a special mention to Rakesh Bedi, calling his performance phenomenal. Hrithik also applauded the makeup and prosthetics team and said he is already excited for part two.
Aditya Dhar Responds To Hrithik Roshan
Aditya Dhar responded with humility, thanking Hrithik for his appreciation. He said every actor and department had given more than 100% and that Hrithik’s words were a huge boost for the team. He confirmed that the second part of the film is on its way and promised to live up to the support and encouragement.
Hrithik’s first post (shared on Instagram Stories) had focused on the film’s storytelling. He praised how the film immerses viewers and showcases filmmakers fully surrendering to a story. He wrote, “I love cinema, I love people who climb into a vortex and let the story take control… DHURANDHAR is an example of that. Loved the storytelling. It’s cinema.”
He added that while he disagreed with the politics, he valued the lessons and insights he gained as a student of cinema.
The contrasting reviews sparked discussion online. After Aditya Dhar’s graceful response, Reddit users weighed in, both praising the director’s humility and poking fun at Hrithik.
