Neha Kakkar has finally cleared the air about rumours of a split with her husband Rohanpreet Singh. The popular singer took to Instagram after an earlier post sparked speculation about her personal life. She also slammed media for manipulating things. Read on to know what she said!
Neha Kakkar Responds To Divorce Speculations
In her Instagram Stories, Neha asked people not to drag her innocent husband or my sweetest family in all this.”She added, “They are the purest people I know, and whatever I am today, it’s because of their support.”
She explained that her previous post came from frustration with some people and the system, not her relationship. She admitted she had been too emotional online and regretted letting it start rumours.
She wrote, “Media people know very well ke Rai ka pahaad kaise banaya jaata hai (how to make a mountain out of a molehill). Lesson learnt.”
Neha also said she will no longer talk about her personal life online. She ended her note with, “Bechari Nehu is too emotional for this world! Sorry and thank you, my NeHearts. Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon with a BANG! Much love.”

Earlier on Monday, Neha announced she was taking a break from responsibilities, relationships, work, and everything I can think of right now. She wrote, “Not sure if I’ll be back or not. Thank you.”
She also asked fans and paparazzi not to film her and respect her privacy. The singer said she just wanted to live freely without cameras around. The post was later deleted.
Neha started performing at religious events before making her Bollywood debut. She rose to fame with the dance number “Second Hand Jawaani” from Cocktail, starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone.
She has since delivered several hits, including “Sunny Sunny”, “London Thumakda”, “Dhating Nach”, and “Kar Gayi Chull”.
Her latest song “Candy Shop” with her brother Tony Kakkar released in December 2025 and gained millions of views. However, it also faced criticism for its lyrics and style. The backlash reportedly influenced Neha’s decision to take a break from work.
