In Bollywood history, 2023 was a noteworthy year. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the industry recovered like never before with several hit films, including Jawan, Pathaan, and Gadar 2. 90s celebrities Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan had powerful returns that defied retirement stereotypes and showed that age is not a barrier to success. The year appeared unique as their children were starring in movies at a period when they were content to sit next to their reigning monarchs rather than pass the throne.
Performance of Star Kids This Year
Suhana Khan, 23, the daughter of Shah Rukh Khan, made her cinematic debut during a period when the actor, then 58 years old, experienced unheard-of success with not one, but two ₹1000 crore grossers: Pathaan and Jawan. The actor is still going strong this year, having just returned to the big screen with Dunki, his third film. Although Suhana has not yet been viewed on film, her digital debut, directed by Zoya Akhtar, was highly influential. Suhana was one of the main characters in the Netflix original, and her father’s coworkers were gushing about her performance on social media.
For Sunny Deol, who at the age of 66 produced Gadar 2, the biggest commercial hit of his career, the year could not have come at a better time. It’s interesting to note that while Gadar 2 was still finishing its lifetime run in theatres, his younger son Rajveer Deol made his acting debut in the love flick Dono. The Deol family’s celebration is made much more memorable by Dharmendra’s appearance in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, directed by Karan Johar, which had everyone talking about his kissing scene with Shabana Azmi.
Alizeh Agnihotri made her debut
Salman Khan, who is 57 years old, is still single, but he has never shied away from supporting his friends, brothers, and other family members. This year, on the occasion of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, he finally gave an Eid release, having missed his usual celebration owing to the COVID-19 epidemic. Although the movie fell short of the actor’s expectations, Tiger 3, which was released for Diwali, helped him recover. Alizeh Agnihotri, Salman’s niece, debuted as an actor in the movie Farrey and is the same age as Suhana. He did his part to promote the movie and presented Alizeh on social media.
