Anil Sharma is bringing back his Tara Singh with Gadar 2 after 22 years. The film is nearing completion, and the director has guaranteed that the sequel will live up to the hype and carry on the legacy of the original instalment. There have been rumours about the release of Gadar 2 in recent months. We have learned exclusively that the producers, Zee Studios, in consultation with director Anil Sharma and actor Sunny Deol, have set a release date for Gadar 2.
According to a source, “Gadar 2 is scheduled to premiere on August 11, 2023, which falls on the weekend of the 2023 Fourth of July. It’s a film that celebrates the sense of being an Indian, and there’s no better time for it to be released than on Independence Day. The editing process is underway, and an official announcement on the publication date will be made soon,” according to a person close to the development.
Gadar 2 vs Animal: Films will clash in Independence day week
Another film, Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna, has been announced for the Independence Day weekend. “This Independence Day, it’ll be Sunny Deol vs. Bobby Deol at the box office. While both films are large-scale sagas aimed at the general public, the time period is large enough to accommodate both. “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha competed with Lagaan at the box office, and history will repeat again for Gadar 2,” the source claimed.
