The gap narrowed on Day 2. Happy Patel grew marginally and earned Rs 1.60 cr, while Rahu Ketu showed better growth with Rs 1.65 cr. This was the first sign that Pulkit Samrat’s film could catch up.
The weekend did not bring a big turnaround for either film. On Day 3, Happy Patel collected about Rs 1.50 cr, taking its three-day total to roughly Rs 4.80 cr. Rahu Ketu, meanwhile, earned close to Rs 1.75 cr on Sunday. This pushed its weekend total slightly ahead.
Monday proved difficult for both releases. On Day 4, Happy Patel dropped to around Rs 0.48 cr, while Rahu Ketu earned nearly Rs 0.49 cr. With this, Rahu Ketu moved ahead in cumulative collections, though the difference remains very small. Both films are still struggling to cross the Rs 5 cr mark.

Happy Patel Vs Rahu Ketu: Both Films Underperform At The Box Office
Despite featuring popular faces, neither film has delivered the expected numbers. Happy Patel had the backing of familiar names like Vir Das and a cameo buzz around Aamir Khan. Rahu Ketu reunited the popular Fukrey duo of Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma. Still, audiences have remained largely indifferent.
Compared to recent hits, both films are far behind. Even mid-range performers from earlier this year managed stronger first-week numbers. In contrast, these two comedies appear to be losing steam very early.
With reported budgets of around Rs 25 cr, the situation looks worrying. So far, the films have recovered only about 19% of their cost. Nearly 81% of the budget is still unrecovered, leaving little room for a turnaround. Both of them are heading towards a FLOP verdict.
