Karan Johar

Ace director and producer Karan Johar has never openly spoken about it but has thrown light on his sexual orientation in his autobiography ‘An Unsuitable Boy’. Apart from this, Twinkle Khanna’s 377 remark in an episode of his super hit chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’ made a lot of headlines.

Apurva Asrani

Writer and editor Apurva Asrani has always been a strong supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community. In 1998, Apoorva came out openly about his sexuality. Apart from this, he was in a relationship with Siddhant Pillai for 14 years, but in 2021, both had announced their separation.

Shonali Bose

Film director and producer Shonali Bose describes herself as bi-sexual. Bisexual is said to be the one who is attracted to both boys and girls. Sonali not only talks openly on this subject but also creates awareness.

Sushant Divgikar

Sushant Divgikar, who was crowned Mr Gay India in 2014, has come a long way. It took him many years to come to terms with his sexuality. Talking about this, Sushant said, “It took me 30 years to realise that I’m gender fluid.” Apart from this, Sushant has been a part of many pride parades and people have requested him not to be ashamed of his truth.

Vikram Seth

In 2018, Indian novelist and poet Vikram Seth also came forward in support of section 377. Vikram Seth has openly described himself as bisexual and his views on homosexuality are also well liked. In an interview, he wished that homosexuals could accept their truth and come out openly.
