About The Film
Director Tarun Mansukhani is taking Housefull 5 in a new direction. While the previous films focused on slapstick humour, this one adds a murder mystery twist. The story unfolds on a cruise and mixes comedy with secrets, mistaken identities, and chaos.
The film stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, and others. Housefull 5 is set to release in cinemas on June 6, 2025.
The film recently faced controversy after YouTube removed the teaser. The teaser used “Laal Pari” by Yo Yo Honey Singh. Mofusion Studios claimed copyright ownership, which led to the takedown. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala then filed a Rs 25 crore defamation suit against YouTube and Mofusion Studios. Reports say he also had to settle rights issues with multiple music labels.
