Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 hit theatres on June 6, and it’s not just your usual comedy. The film was released in two versions, with Housefull 5A taking a surprising turn into a wild murder mystery wrapped in a fight for billions. Packed with a star-studded cast and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film promises more than just laughs.

The story follows billionaire Ranjeet Dobriyal, who dies right before his 100th birthday. His stepson, Dev (Fardeen Khan), hides the death so the celebrations can continue. But a hologram from Ranjeet soon reveals that his fortune will go to his first son, known only as Jolly. That’s when the real drama kicks off.

Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh And Abhishek Bachchan Battle For Fortune

In Housefull 5A, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and Akshay Kumar play three men claiming to be the real Jolly, all desperate to inherit Ranjeet’s £69 billion fortune. They know none of them is the true heir, but the money is too good to pass up. Dev organises a DNA test on a luxury cruise to sort out the truth.

The plot thickens when the three Jollys drink spiked cocktails and wake up with no memory of the previous night. Meanwhile, Dev tries to rig the DNA results by tampering with the samples. He’s caught by the doctor but covers it up in a dangerous way.

Housefull 5A Twist: Who Is The Killer?

Dev’s plan gets deadly when he stuffs peanut butter biscuits into the doctor’s mouth, knowing the doctor is allergic. Akshay Kumar’s character saves the doctor with an injection, but Dev kills him shortly after. Captain Sameer (Nikitin Dheer) witnesses the murder but stays silent, fearing for his own safety.

The cruise becomes a chaotic crime scene with everyone under suspicion, from Johnny Lever to Chitrangda Singh, Sanjay Dutt, and Jackie Shroff. In the final reveal, Dev teams up with one of the fake Jollys to kill Captain Sameer. Dev’s true role as the KILLER comes to light.
