About Hera Pheri Franchise
Hera Pheri has become one of Bollywood’s most loved comedy franchises. The first film, directed by Priyadarshan in 2000, starred Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal. Paresh’s role as Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, the quirky and forgetful landlord, became a fan favourite and a meme legend.
The sequel, Phir Hera Pheri, came out in 2006. Directed by Neeraj Vora, the film continued the trio’s misadventures. Though the second film didn’t earn much praise from critics, it performed well at the box office and became a cult hit over time.
