Paatal Lok Season 2: Jaideep Ahlawat returns to Prime Video with the announcement of the sequel to the highly rated crime thriller Paatal Lok. With this announcement fans finally get to see Hathi Ram Chaudhary (Jaideep Ahlawat) back in action.

Jaideep Ahlawat returns in Paatal Lok Season 2

Prime Video shared the poster of Paatal Lok Season 2 in an Instagram post. The poster features Jaideep Ahlawat as Hathi Ram Chaudhary looking at a bloody knife about an inch from his eyes. The whole poster is black and white except the blood on the knife with Hathi Ram Chaudhary’s stoic face. The post is captioned, “Using our hammer to break the internet.”

Paatal Lok Season 2 Release Date

For the unaware, Paatal Lok is a crime thriller web series created by Sudip Sharma. It was aired in 2020 and featured Jaideep Ahlawat in the leading role as Hathi Ram Chaudhary along with Ishwak Singh, Neeraj Kabi, Abhishek Banerjee and others. The series follows Hathi Ram Chaudhary as he investigates a murder case which drags him into a world of crimes he has never experienced before. As of now there has been no release date announced by the streamer. However, the announcement post did mention that the series is “Coming Soon.”

Jaideep Ahlawat and His Rise To Fame After Paatal Lok

Following the success of Paatal Lok, Jaideep delivered back to back solid performances in his subsequent projects. He also featured in the leading roles in films like An Action Hero, Three of Us, Jaane Jaan and Maharaj. He also won two Filmfare OTT awards for Jaane Jaan and Maharaj for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor respectively. 

The first season of Paatal Lok was both critically acclaimed and popular among fans. The series boasts an IMDB rating of 8.1 with 66,000 user ratings. And with the announcement of a Paatal Lok Season 2, the expectations of the series will be high.
