While some of Vijay’s fans defended the use of artificial intelligence in film production, the majority expressed disappointment. Netizens called it a lapse in post-production quality control and a sign of unnecessary reliance on AI for a shot that could have been filmed practically. Observers noted that the trailer editor likely forgot to remove the watermark before release.

Though the makers removed the watermark after it was noticed, the damage on social media was done.

Another tweeted, “EMBARRASSING – #JanaNayaganTrailer at 0:23 they did not remove the Gemini logo from the bottom!
