Kangana Ranaut REACTS To Sunjay Kapur’s Death: ‘Bee On Polo Ground... Too Strange To Believe’

Actor and politician Kangana Ranaut has expressed shock over the sudden death of businessman Sunjay Kapur. He passed away in England on 12 June while attending a polo event. The 53-year-old industrialist was also known as the ex-husband of Bollywood star Karisma Kapoor.

While his company confirmed he died of a heart attack after reportedly swallowing a bee on a polo playground, Kangana offered a strange reaction that’s now getting a lot of attention online.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Kangana wrote a detailed message that left many stunned. She said, “In another unbelievable event, Sunjay Kapur (Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband) was on the polo ground, a bee went into his mouth (yes madhumakkhi on the polo ground) stung him and blocked his windpipe, he couldn't breathe so he asked the game to be stopped but immediately died of a cardiac arrest. Such tragic news.”

She further added, “Also, I am done trying to make sense of all the bizarre events that 2025 is bringing into our lives. Everyone, stay safe and keep praying to God.”

Heart Attack Confirmed As Reason Behind His Death

A statement from Kapur’s auto parts company, Sona Comstar, confirmed his death. It read: “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of Sunjay J Kapur, Chairman and Non-Executive Director of Sona Comstar, following a sudden heart attack in England, UK, on 12th June 2025, at the age of 53.”

Suhel Seth, a well-known businessman and columnist, also posted a heartfelt message on X (formerly Twitter). He wrote, “Deeply saddened at the passing of @sunjaykapur... a terrible loss and deepest condolences to his family and to his colleagues @sonacomstar …Om Shanti.”

For the unversed, Sunjay Kapur married actor Karisma Kapoor in 2003. The couple had two children (Samaira, now 19, and Kiaan, 13). After years of legal proceedings, they officially got divorced in 2016. Later, Kapur married Priya Sachdev in 2017, and they have a son named Azarias.
