Karuppu Box Office Collection Day 7: Suriya and Trisha Krishnan’s Karuppu continues its steady run at the box office even after a strong opening week. The film has managed to stay in the spotlight despite normal weekday drops. With solid weekend numbers and consistent weekday earnings, the film has already crossed a major milestone in its first week.
Released on May 15, Karuppu started its box office journey on a powerful note and quickly gained momentum. Positive audience response helped the film’s collections grow over the weekend. Even though weekdays brought expected declines, the overall trend remained stable. By the end of Day 7, the film has delivered a strong total, putting it in a comfortable position against its reported budget.
Karuppu Box Office Collection Day 7
The film opened with Rs 15.50 crore on Day 1 (Friday), setting a solid foundation. It saw a big jump on Day 2 (Saturday) with Rs 24.15 crore, followed by an even stronger peak on Day 3 (Sunday) at Rs 28.35 crore, which became the highest single-day collection of the week.
This weekend surge played a key role in building early momentum for the film. Audience interest remained high across centres, helping Karuppu secure a strong opening trend.
DON'T MISS
After the weekend, the film followed a normal downward trend. It collected Rs 14.30 crore on Day 4 (Monday), Rs 12.75 crore on Day 5 (Tuesday), Rs 10.70 crore on Day 6 (Wednesday) and Rs 8.30 crore on Day 7 (Thursday).
Despite the drop, the film managed to maintain a healthy hold, which is important for long theatrical runs. At the end of its first week, Karuppu box office collection stands at Rs 114.05 crore (India net). This means the film has already recovered more than 80% of its reported Rs 140 crore budget.
Trade expectations suggest a possible jump in the second weekend. If the trend continues, the film may recover its full budget soon and move into profit territory.
