Lata Mangeshkar: “A Chowk After Didi’s Name”, PM Modi’s Tribute to The Legend On Her Birth Anniversary

Lata Mangeshkar: On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the famous vocalist Lata Mangeshkar on the occasion of her birth anniversary.
The Indian Prime Minister declared on Wednesday that a chowk in Ayodhya would be named after Lata Mangeshkar in recognition of her contributions to the Indian music industry and her efforts to honour the country.

PM Modi’s Tweet:

He commented on Twitter, saying: “On the anniversary of Lata Didi’s birth, we remember her. I remember so much, including the countless interactions when she would demonstrate such adoration. I’m happy that she will have a Chowk named after her in Ayodhya today. It is an appropriate tribute to one of the most famous Indian figures.”

A number of other distinguished individuals, including the Prime Minister, also paid tribute to the master singer. On the occasion of her birth anniversary, many artists created tribute artworks for her.
Lata Mangeshkar, who was born in 1929, is well-known for her incredible voice, which has infused charm into hundreds of songs and continues to be a favourite of many people today. She was the queen of playback singing for many years. Lata Mangeshkar, also referred as as the “Nightingale of India,” passed away in February of this year.

About Lata Mangeshkar

One of the singers in the Indian film industry with the widest range of styles is she. On September 28, 1929, in Indore, she was born to Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar, a classical musician, and Shevanti. Lata Mangeshkar was profoundly influenced by her father’s line of work because she started studying music from him at a very young age. Along with Lata, Meena, Asha, Usha, and Hridaynath are well-known figures in the music industry who also learned the craft of singing from their father.

She became a favourite option for songwriters and directors as she proceeded to produce significant success songs for the Bollywood business. She has performed in over a thousand Hindi and 36 regional films, singing over 5,000 songs. The music business was elevated by her song selection and her skillful performance. In those days, it would be difficult to find an actress for whom Lata Mangeshkar hadn’t written songs. Priyanka Chopra or Madhubala, among many other actresses from various eras, have appeared in songs by Lata Mangeshkar. She performed both traditional tunes and gazals. Lata Mangeshkar’s influence on India’s Bollywood industry endures even after her death, and her songs will always be immortal.
