Salman Khan has surprised fans with the release of the romantic song “Chand Dekh Lena” from his upcoming film Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace. The song was released as a special Eid 2026 treat and quickly caught attention for its emotional feel and old-style Bollywood melody. Featuring Salman Khan and Chitrangada Singh, the track shows a soft romantic side in an otherwise serious war film.
The song is composed by Himesh Reshammiya and written by Sameer Anjaan. It is sung by Nihal Tauro and Ankona Mukherjee. The music has a strong 1990s touch and focuses on love, distance, and longing. Instead of loud beats, the song uses simple lyrics and melody, which many listeners found emotional and nostalgic.
In the video, Chitrangada Singh is seen waiting for her husband, played by Salman Khan, who is posted at the border. The moon is shown as a symbol of love and connection between two people living far away from each other. The scene looks similar to a Karva Chauth setting. The song also shows the silent struggles of soldiers’ families, reminding viewers that sacrifice happens at home as well as on the battlefield.
Maatrubhumi Song Chand Dekh Lena Lyrics Win Hearts
While the song looks good, some trolls have targeted the actor with harsh comments. A few even called it Prem Ratan Dhan Payo 2. Some viewers also said that a romantic track feels unnecessary in a war film. However, if we keep the criticism aside, the lyrics are truly heart-touching.
The song talks about memories, distance and the hope of meeting again. The moon becomes a symbol of love, showing that two people can still feel close even when they are far apart.
Maatrubhumi Song “Chand Dekh Lena” Lyrics
Yaadon ke gehre saaye jab
Pal pal tumhe tadpayenge
Woh saath guzare har lamhe
Jab jab dil dhadkayenge
Tum chand dekh lena
Tumhe hum nazar aayenge
Tum chand dekh lena
Tumhe hum nazar aayenge
Tum chand dekh lena
Tumhe hum nazar aayenge
Hum bhi chandni mein
Tera aks dekh lenge sanam
Door reh ke bhi aankhon se
Door na rahenge hum
Yeh faaslon ke samundar jab
Pal pal tumhe tadpayenge
Khamosh parinde raaton ko
Jab jab dil dhadkayenge
Tum chand dekh lena
Tumhe hum nazar aayenge
Tum chand dekh lena
Tumhe hum nazar aayenge
Jab door kahin hum jaayein
Afsos kabhi na karna
Chupke se chhat pe aana aur
Baahon mein tum humko bharna
Baahon mein tum humko bharna
Baahon mein tum humko bharna
Sannaton mein darwaaze jab
Pal pal tumhe tadpayenge
Soone kamron ke andhere
Jab jab dil dhadkayenge
Tum chand dekh lena
Tumhe hum nazar aayenge
Tum chand dekh lena
Tumhe hum nazar aayenge
Tum chand dekh lena
Tumhe hum nazar aayenge
About This Salman Khan Starrer
Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace (earlier titled Battle of Galwan) is a war drama inspired by the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops. The film is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and stars Salman Khan as Colonel Santosh Babu, the officer who led the 16 Bihar Regiment during the real incident.
The title was later changed to show that the film is not only about war but also about sacrifice, emotions, and the human cost of conflict. Chitrangada Singh plays an important role in the story, and the music by Himesh Reshammiya is expected to be one of the highlights.
The film was first planned to release on April 17, 2026, but reports say it may now release on August 14, 2026, close to Independence Day.
