New Delhi: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has contracted coronavirus. On Tuesday night, the Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham actor took to his official Twitter account and informed his fans about his diagnosis. “I have just tested CoViD + positive .. all those that have been in my vicinity and around me, please get yourself checked and tested also .. (sic)," he wrote.
This is the 79-year-old's second infection. He had tested positive and had to be hospitalised in 2020.
Big B was infected with the coronavirus in July of 2020. He was hospitalised for more than three weeks at the time and was treated in a private hospital in Mumbai. At the time, his son Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and granddaughter Aaradhya had all tested positive for covid-19. While Big B and Abhishek were in the hospital, Aishwarya and Aaradhya were able to recover at home.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Amitabh Bachchan has been in Mumbai filming the reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati 14. The show premiered earlier this month. Aside from KBC, his upcoming films include Brahmastra Part 1, Uunchai, Goodbye, Project K, and a remake of The Intern.
