The world’s biggest fashion charity event, the ‘Met Gala’ or the ‘Met Ball’ is going to happen today (May 1). This event is organised every year on the first Monday of May and is attended by renowned fashion professionals, influential personalities and popular celebrities from all over the world. Attendees look their best in the finest designer clothes with beautiful make up and pose as they walk the red carpet in front of the paparazzi.
Theme of the Met Gala 2023
This year’s Met Gala theme is “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”. This theme is a tribute to Karl Lagerfeld, one of the most renowned fashion designers of the world. Karl designed Chanel’s ready-to-wear and couture outfits as well as had his own label. Attendees are required to follow the same dress code which is in the honour of Karl Lagerfeld.
Who is invited to the Met Gala 2023?
The fashion event is attended by renowned fashion designers, influential personalities and popular celebrities from all over the world. This year, the presence of many celebrities including Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Dua Lipa, Madonna, Rihanna, Anna Wintour is expected.
Unfortunately, Blake Lively, who has graced the event for many years with her unique fashion quotient, will not be a part of the Met Gala this year.
Hosts of the Met Gala 2023
According to the fashion magazine Vogue, Penelope Cruz, Dua Lipa, Michaela Coel, Roger Federer and Anna Wintour will be hosting the fundraising event this year.
Where and When to watch the Met Gala 2023?
Every year the Met Gala is organised at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The phones of all the attendees are confiscated. No one knows what happens inside the event after the red carpet. Vogue will provide the live stream of the event.
The Met Gala event will start at 6 PM on May 01, but in India, the event will be shown on May 2 at 4 PM.
