Anurag Basu returns with Metro In Dino, a fresh take on messy, real-life love stories. The trailer dropped Wednesday, showing a tangled web of relationships that will hit viewers right in the feels. 

The film stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Neena Gupta, and Anupam Kher. This spiritual sequel to Basu’s 2007 hit Life in a... Metro explores the chaos of love in the city through four different couples.

Metro In Dino Trailer OUT

The over 3-minute Metro In Dino trailer mixes everyday Mumbai life with raw emotions. Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur play a couple caught between love and commitment. Sara’s character is engaged to someone else, while Aditya’s role is a “man-child” scared of growing up.

Konkona Sen Sharma and Pankaj Tripathi portray a middle-aged couple trying to revive their fading love. Neena Gupta and Anupam Kher’s characters represent older lovers wanting a second chance despite their hesitation. Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh take on the roles of a young married couple dealing with the challenges of an unplanned pregnancy.

The soundtrack features Pritam’s nostalgic score and Papon’s soulful voice. It ties the stories together with emotions. The trailer promises a journey full of love, conflict, and the messy realities of relationships.

What Anurag Basu Said About The Film

Basu described the film as a tale of the people and for the people. He added, “The storyline is very fresh and relevant as I look forward to collaborating with amazing artists who bring that essence of contemporary aura with them.” 

Basu praised his longtime collaborator Pritam and said, “I couldn’t be happier to be collaborating with my dear friend Pritam who has literally added life to the characters and story with his work.”

Metro In Dino focuses on the less glamorous side of love - the silence, misunderstandings, and longings. It’s about what happens after the fairy tale, showing love in its truest, most complicated form.
