BTS Jungkook And Jimin discharged from military

BTS members Jungkook and Jimin are back from the army, and fans are going wild online. The two idols were discharged on Wednesday, June 11, from their base in Yeoncheon. Dressed in uniform and full of shy smiles, they waved to waiting fans. Pictures and videos of their return quickly went viral.

Fans from across the globe flooded X (formerly Twitter) with emotional posts. It was a moment ARMYs had been counting down to. The boys looked emotional but thankful as they faced the media and shared their thoughts on their time in service.

BTS Jungkook And Jimin On Military Life

Speaking to the press, Jungkook admitted he felt strange being back in front of cameras. He said, “It’s been so long since I’ve been in front of the camera, I’m embarrassed. Seniors, juniors, and executives who have worked harder than anyone else, thank you for working hard for us. I’m so grateful to them for taking such good care of us.”

Park Jimin spoke about how difficult the military was. He shared, “We suffered together, learned a lot, ate together, and slept outside together. I will hold these memories in my heart and cherish them for a long time.” 

He also thanked fans who stood by them through COVID and their service. Jimin added, “Since I was discharged today, I think we can continue to draw the picture we were drawing from now on.”

He added a message of support for soldiers everywhere. “If you see soldiers on the street, I think they would be grateful if you could give them a warm hug, even if it’s just briefly.”

BTS Reunion And What’s Next

As Jungkook and Jimin stepped out, fans were there to cheer them on. Many waited outside the base to catch a glimpse. The return of these two marks another big step toward a full BTS reunion.

Just a day before, RM and V were also discharged. Jin and J-Hope had already completed their service. Now, only Suga remains in the military and is expected to return on June 21, 2025.

Following tradition, Jimin and Jungkook went live to greet fans via a Weverse livestream.
