Hanuman Jayanti: The makers of Adipurush on Thursday unveiled the first look poster of actor Devdatta Nage as Hanuman to mark the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. The makers had earlier revealed a poster on the occasion of Ram Navami. In the new poster, Devdatta Nage’s Hanuman is sitting in a meditation pose. For the unversed, Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, features Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and Saif Ali Khan in leading roles.

Devdatta Nage to feature as Hanuman in Adipurush
The makers of Adipurush unveiled the first look poster of Devdatta Nage as Hanuman. The poster shows Devdatta sitting in a meditation position, with Raghava’s Played by Prabhas) face appearing in the background. Sharing the poster, OM Raut wrote, “Ram ke Bhakt aur Ramkatha ke praan… Jai Pavanputra Hanuman!”
Last week, on the occasion of Ram Navami, a new poster from Adipurush was dropped. The poster depicts Prabhas as Raghav, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, Sunny Singh as Shesh, while Devdatta Nage bowed down to them as Bajrang. Check out the poster below:
About Adipurush
After much anticipation, the poster of Adipurush was released on the occasion of Ram Navami. Despite the much fanfare around the film featuring Prabhas, the film has been at the helm of controversy. After the highly successful trailer launch event which saw netizens unitedly complaining over the depiction of Hindu Gods and Ravana, the recent poster was also not well received
In fact, a fresh complaint has been filed against the makers and actor for hurting religious sentiments. The complaint states that the religious sentiments of Hindus inappropriately displaying the character of the Hindi religious text Ramcharitmanas in the new poster of the film.
The complainant who calls himself the preachers of Sanatana Dharma has said that the actors Lord Rama wears costume in the film which is contrary to the natural spirit mentioned in ancient scripts. He also said that none of the characters in the film has worn Janeu as per Hindu practices.
Adipurush is slated to release in June this year.
