The teaser for War 2 dropped today, on May 20. While Hrithik Roshan’s action-packed return grabbed attention, it was Kiara Advani’s bikini look that stole the spotlight. However, not everyone liked it.

The brief teaser shows Jr NTR voicing a bold challenge to Hrithik’s top agent Kabir. The visuals cut to fast-paced action scenes with sword fights, car chases, and even Kabir going head-to-head with a wolf. But amid the chaos, Kiara appears in a sizzling bikini, drawing major attention online.

Angry Netizens Troll Kiara Advani’s Bikini Look in War 2 Teaser

Social media users quickly shared their reactions. Some praised the glam, but many called out the teaser for lacking depth. One user wrote, “Only promoting soft porn.” Another said, “Meri fav thi aaj dil se utar gai bilkul bhi achi ni lg rhe.” 

Others commented, “Deepika Padukone ki copy kar rahi he” and “Aan we don’t need this type of shit in a movie like War.”

Kiara’s look draws comparisons to Deepika’s appearance in Pathaan and Fighter. It is evident that YRF is repeating the same formula. One user wrote, “Movie story ki wajah se hit hoti hai, jab story achi nahi hoti to aisi aisi chizon se promotion karna padta hai.”

What Else Left Fans Unimpressed?

Apart from the glam backlash, fans criticised the overuse of VFX. Some said the visual effects look flashy but feel overdone. A user on X shared, “VFX quality in #War2Teaser seriously feels off."

Others felt the teaser lacked a standout scene. While the action is on a grand scale, many said it doesn’t leave a strong impact. The original War (2019) had more punch, according to some long-time fans.

Am I the only one who didn’t like #War2 teaser. I mean Green Screen is too loud in every frame. I thought Pathan Vfx was worst from YRF recent works but damn, War2 tops the list. Also Ntr voice seems different, Someone else hindi dubbed for him?

Still, not all feedback was harsh. Many loved Hrithik’s intense new look and praised Jr NTR’s bold screen presence. Even Kiara’s appearance (though controversial) sparked curiosity about her role.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by YRF, War 2 continues the studio’s growing Spy Universe. The film brings together a fresh cast, high-stakes action, and a global storyline.

War 2 will hit cinemas on August 14 2025 and possibly clash with Rajinikanth’s Coolie.
