O’Romeo, starring Shahid Kapoor and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, has delivered a solid opening weekend at the box office. The romantic action-thriller earned an estimated Rs 9 crore net on Day 3 (Sunday, February 15, 2026), taking its total to Rs 30.15 crore net in India.

Despite stiff competition from the high-voltage India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup clash, the film managed to hold steady and mark one of Shahid’s strongest post-pandemic openings.

O’Romeo Box Office Collection Day-Wise Breakdown Shows Strong Weekend Trend

O’Romeo Box Office Collection Day 3: The film opened to Rs 8.5 crore net on Friday, setting a decent base. Saturday, which coincided with Valentine’s Day, saw a significant jump as collections rose to Rs 12.65 crore net, reflecting a 44–61% growth. The romantic theme and festive mood helped drive footfalls.

On Sunday, however, collections dipped to Rs 9 crore net, with Hindi occupancy recorded at 18.96%. Afternoon shows peaked at nearly 25%, but night occupancy dropped to 18.66%. The decline was largely attributed to cricket fever gripping the nation.

Still, crossing the Rs 30 crore mark in three days indicates strong audience interest and positive word-of-mouth.

India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup Impact on O’Romeo’s Sunday Numbers

The much-anticipated ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Group A clash between India and Pakistan overlapped with evening and night shows. With India securing a dominant 61-run victory in Colombo, television viewership soared, directly impacting theatre attendance.

Trade analysts note that the cricket match drew massive attention, causing a noticeable drop in footfalls across multiplexes. Yet, O’Romeo managed to outperform holdover releases like Border 2, which reportedly earned just Rs 1.9 crore on Sunday.

Globally, early estimates suggest the film has already crossed Rs 36 crore gross worldwide by Day 4, strengthening its commercial prospects.
