Oscars 2023: Todd Field to Brandon Fresar; Here’s the prediction about winners of Academy Awards

Oscars 2023

Oscars 2023 is here and fans are waiting for the announcement as they want to see their favorite star win an Oscar trophy. Before the grand ceremony of the Oscars, we are here with the predictions about the winners that who will win the award. However, it’s just a prediction about the winners of the award.

This year’s Academy Awards are particularly special for India, as there are three nominations to celebrate. RRR’s “Naatu Naatu” has been nominated for Best Original Song, Shaunak Sen’s documentary “All that Breathes” is competing for Best Documentary, and “The Elephant Whisperers” is in the running for Best Documentary Short Film. While “Naatu Naatu” is likely to win, we can’t help but root for the other two categories as well.

So, who will take home the coveted Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Director awards? Here’s our take on who will win on Monday morning, and who the actual deserving winners are. Let’s dive in!

Best Picture

“Everything Everywhere All at Once,” a crazy parallel universe-themed drama, has received unanimous praise from critics and audiences alike, making it a strong contender for Best Picture. Its only competition is Martin McDonagh’s “The Banshees of Inisherin.” We will be thrilled if either of these titles wins. The remaining nominees are weaker in comparison, but as we saw with “Moonlight” winning over “La La Land,” anything can happen at the Oscars 2023.

Best Director

The Daniel brothers may make history by becoming the third duo to jointly win for direction, as “EEAAO” is a definite contender for Best Picture. However, Todd Field’s “Tar,” a disturbingly raw and emotional rollercoaster drama, has received high ratings and could beat the brothers to the prize.

Best Actor

While Austin Butler is a favorite among voters and the Academy, no one can overlook Brendan Fraser’s performance in the dark, melancholic “The Whale.” Though Butler is much younger, Fraser’s conviction in playing one of the most famous entertainers on the planet is likely to win him his first Oscar.

Best Actress

This is a tough category, with both Yeoh and Blanchett being front-runners at various award shows. Personally, we prefer Blanchett’s insane performance as a music conductor gone astray in “Tar,” but that doesn’t mean Yeoh deserves any less. The Oscars love representation and surprises, so we can definitely see Yeoh up on the big stage on Oscar night.
