Dhurandhar Ban Fails To Stop Its Global Reach

Dhurandhar did not get a release in Pakistan. It was also barred from theatres in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Despite this, the film has emerged as the most successful Indian movie overseas in 2025.

The spy thriller has already crossed Rs 1,000 crore at the global box office. Trade experts credit strong word-of-mouth, repeat value, and the film’s music for its sustained success.

The song Shararat has played a major role in this popularity. The dance number features Ayesha Khan and Krystle D’Souza and has crossed 100 million views on YouTube. It is composed by Sashwat Sachdev and sung by Madhubanti Bagchi and Jasmine Sandlas. The choreography is by Vijay Ganguly.

The song’s catchy beats and bold visuals have made it a staple at parties and celebrations, including weddings.

Talking about the film, Dhurandhar is a spy thriller directed by Aditya Dhar. It stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role as Hamza. The film also features Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan and Sanjay Dutt in key roles.

The film has become India’s highest-grossing release of 2025. Its success has already set the stage for a sequel. The second part of Dhurandhar is scheduled to release in March 2026.
