Pakistani Drama: Pakistani serials are loved in not just their home country, but around the globe as well. People have high expectations from these serials, because of the fine acting and realism portrayed in them. But there are times that even after putting in a lot of effort and choosing just the right ‘star cast’, the Drama fails! Sometimes it is because of the simple storyline, toxic male character, the misogynistic attitude of some of the characters and lack of quality content. Which becomes the reason for failure. They may be rated well and might have gained good viewership, but they somewhat fail when it comes to the storyline. Let’s take a look at the 5 worst Pakistani Drama of 2022.

Worst Pakistani Drama of 2022

Kaisi Teri khudgarzi

Star cast: Danish Taimoor, Dur-e-Fishan, Noman Aijaz, Hammad Shoaib Shahood Alvi and Laila Wasti

The danish Taimoor and Dur e fishan starrer did manage to get a good rating, with more than a billion viewership. But the fact that it showcased a toxic attitude of the male character, with a story of a rich spoilt brat falling in love with a middle-class girl, other further forcing her to marry him, showcases poor quality content. And that is one aspect disliked by a certain set of the population.

Badzaat

Star Cast: Urwa Hocane, Imran Ashraf, Ali Abbas, Danial Afzal Khan, Zoya Nasir

Some people loved the show, as they liked the pairing and chemistry of Urwa Hocane and Imran Ashraf, who are the main lead of the show. While others were disappointed, as the storyline was filled with toxic characters and situations. From rape, domestic violence, to drug and gun abuse, this drama had it all! And a big No No, for a lot of viewers.

Ishq e Laa

Star cast: Sajal Aly, Azaan Sami Khan, Yumna Zaidi, Arsalan Asad Butt, Adnan Samad Khan and Uzma Hassan

Big cast, good visuals, over the top story, but still a disappointment. As even after having a good script, some viewers felt that the drama was very slow, repeating the elements, and not at all edited in a proper manner.
The female characters were supposed to be strong but were often seen crying and lost, most of the time. In the end, there was a lack of clarity in Ishq e Laa.

Paristan

Star Cast: Arsalan Naseer, Aymen Saleem, Merub Ali, Naveen Waqar and Ali Safina

As it was a Ramzan special drama, people thought that ‘Paristan’ would be a fun, lighthearted and comedy special drama. But it was nothing like that. It ended up being a serious family drama, which lacked the fun elements to a great extent. And as the viewers were not able to connect with the story, it turned out to be a flop. And in order to cover the cost, the production house took the help of advertisements. That further turned out the be an annoying aspect for the audience.

Badshah Begum

Star Cast: Zara Noor Abbas, Farhan Saeed, Ali Rehman Khan, Yasir Hussain and Shahzad Nawaz

Where the concept of the drama was nice, but the script was not executed well. Somewhat the audience felt that the drama was lacking clarity and it was not making sense. Where the viewers felt that the director only paid emphasis on the visuals and a proper storyline was further missing. The actors in ‘Badshah Begun’ did try to put their best foot forward and make the story work, but the realism was totally missing.
