Ram Charan has grabbed attention with a surprising new glimpse from his upcoming film Peddi. Released on the actor’s 41st birthday, the latest video shows a completely different side of him. While earlier promos hinted at a cricket-based story, the new glimpse presents him as a powerful wrestler, leaving his fans both excited and confused.
The 44-second video quickly went viral online. It shows Ram Charan in a rugged avatar, with a bulked-up physique, long hair tied in a man bun and intense expressions. The shift from a rural cricketer to a mud-wrestling pehelwan has sparked reactions across social media.
Ram Charan Seen As Wrestler In Peddi Pehelwan Glimpse
The glimpse opens with a strong voiceover. It highlights how wrestling is far more dangerous than cricket, calling it a game where one faces death. The voice then questions whether a person has the courage to stay or walk away.
Soon after, Ram Charan is seen training hard and fighting in traditional mud wrestling matches. His transformation stands out, especially when compared to his earlier lean look in the film’s previous teasers. In one powerful moment, his character says, “Listen, dear. My pride is in my game.”

This sudden shift has left many fans puzzled. Earlier promotional material for Peddi showed him as a colourful, carefree cricketer in a rural setting. Now, the wrestler angle has added a new twist to the story. Some fans even believe that the actor could be playing dual roles in the film.
While many viewers praised Ram Charan’s intense transformation, others were not fully convinced. A section of social media users compared the film to Sultan, starring Salman Khan. One user wrote, “Looks like Sultan movie copy.”
Another commented, “Sultan copy-paste styles.”
A third user said, “Vhi ghisa pita slomo…kya yar.”
Another user added, “Zero expectations.”
Ram Charan’s Work Front
Ram Charan has had a mixed but impactful career over the past 18 years. He made a strong debut with Chirutha and gained massive fame with Magadheera. Over the years, he delivered hits like Racha, Naayak and Yevadu, along with the critically acclaimed Rangasthalam.
He reached global recognition with RRR. However, some of his recent projects, including Acharya and Game Changer, did not perform as expected at the box office.
Now, Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, marks an important project for the actor. It is the director’s second film after the success of Uppena. The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu. Backed by multiple production houses, the film is set to release in theatres on April 30.
