Actor Shilpa Shetty and her husband, businessman Raj Kundra, recently visited Vrindavan to meet spiritual guru Premanand Maharaj. During the visit, a video captured Raj offering one of his kidneys to the guru, sparking both surprise and a wave of sarcastic reactions online.
The meeting took place at Premanand Maharaj’s ashram in Mathura. In the clip, the couple is seen listening closely as the guru reveals that both of his kidneys have failed and that he has been living with the condition for the past decade. Raj, who said he had been following the guru for two years, responded with an emotional offer.
Raj said, “I’ve been following you for the past two years. I have no questions because your videos always answer any doubts or fears I have. You are an inspiration to everyone. I know about your health condition, and if I can help, one of my kidneys is yours.”
Premanand Maharaj declined the offer and said, “It’s enough for me that you stay happy. Until the call comes, we won’t leave this world because of a kidney. But I accept your goodwill from the heart.”
Shilpa also asked the guru about chanting ‘Radha’, to which he advised that it could help her overcome personal problems.

The Visit Comes Amid Rs 60 Crore Fraud Allegations
The video surfaced at a time when Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty are facing serious fraud allegations. According to reports, they have been accused of cheating a businessman, Deepak Kothari, of over Rs 60 crore between 2015 and 2023.
The Economic Offences Wing in Mumbai is currently looking into the matter. On Thursday, their lawyer Prashant Patil issued a statement denying the allegations, calling them “baseless” and “malicious.” The statement also pointed out that the matter had already been adjudicated by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in Mumbai in October 2024.
