Popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav recently called out IndiGo Airlines for what he described as “poor management” and “a lack of respect for passengers’ time.” His Mumbai-to-Delhi flight faced multiple delays, leaving him and several other passengers frustrated.
Elvish took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his ordeal, revealing that his flight (IndiGo 6E0615), which was supposed to take off at 1 PM, got delayed multiple times. He wrote, “Frustrating experience with Indigo Airlines! Flight 6E0615 was supposed to depart at 1 pm, but now it’s delayed again and departing at 3:35 pm! If you’re in a hurry, you’re out of luck! Such poor management and lack of respect for passengers’ time! #IndigoAirlines.”
His post quickly went viral, drawing attention from his massive fanbase and other passengers who shared similar experiences.
IndiGo Responds To Elvish’s Complaint
IndiGo issued a statement addressing Elvish’s complaint. The airline clarified that the delay occurred due to a system outage affecting Air Traffic Control data transmission, impacting several flights to and from Delhi.
The airline’s official response read, “Dear Mr Yadav, we truly value your time and understand how this delay may have disrupted your travel plans… Due to a system outage affecting the transmission of Air Traffic Control data, flight operations to and from Delhi across all airlines have been impacted.”
They also assured passengers that their teams were providing refreshments and regular updates, adding that the delay was “beyond the control of any airline.”
Passengers Report Similar Issues
While Elvish’s complaint gained attention, several other travellers voiced similar frustrations. One passenger from another IndiGo flight (6E 6133) from Mumbai to Rajkot shared that they were made to sit inside the aircraft for over three hours due to the pilot’s delay.
According to reports, the flight was initially scheduled for 7 AM but kept getting pushed — first to 7:55 AM, then to 8:40 AM, and later to 10:30 AM. Passengers alleged they remained inside the aircraft for hours without proper communication from the crew.
Many took to social media to criticise IndiGo’s handling of the situation, calling for better communication and management from one of India’s largest airlines.
