Rakshabandhan 2023: The CM of West Bengal landed in Mumbai last night and spent an afternoon at Amitabh Bachchan’s house where she tied a rakhi to him. Amitabh Bachchan is one of the most well-reputed actors in the country, giving over 50 years of acting contributions to the country. Having made a mark in the film Industry, he also holds good friendships with politicians such as Mamata Banerjee.

Rakshabandhan 2023: Mamata Banerjee visits Bachchan family

The CM of West Bengal flew to Mumbai for an opposition front I.N.D.I.A. However, on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, she was invited to the Bachchan house where she not only met Big B but also his entire family. She was invited for tea, along with which, she even tied a rakhi on the 80-year-old actor, celebrating their friendship. She was also happy to meet the entire family, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Aaradhya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan, and her daughter, Navya Naveli Nanda who was present on that sweet occasion. Moreover, the family was there to send the politician off after their meeting.

Rakshabandhan 2023: What Mamata Banerjee had to say about the Bachchan family

Mamata Banerjee had come down to the city for I.N.D.I.A., an opposition front that will take place from the 31st of August to the 1st of September. However, on her day off, she made it a point to visit the Bachchan family, whom she admires a lot. Moreover, she said ” “I love this family. They are the number one family in India and they have made a lot of contributions to the film industry.” Along with this, she referred to Amitabh Bachchan as ‘Bharat Ratna’, saying ” “Although not officially, but from Bengal, we will raise this demand to honour Amitabh Bachchan with the Bharat Ratna award for his contribution to Indian cinema for such a long time.”
